Tzatziki dip

Recipe thanks to the Healthy recipes for sporting clubs and facilities booklet

Ingredients

  • 1 (approx. 80g) Lebanese cucumber, grated
  • 100g low-fat natural yoghurt (plain)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic, crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin, ground

Method

  1. Grate cucumber and squeeze out excess liquid with your hands. Discard excess liquid.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.

Tips

  • Add lemon juice to taste.
  • Can be prepared ahead of time.
  • Can be added to sandwiches and wraps or drizzled over salad as an alternative to mayonnaise.
  • Can be used alongside fresh vegetable sticks and served as a healthy snack.
