Drinking water is good for our health!
HLC has worked with water authorities, Coliban Water and Goulburn Valley Water to install drinking water fountains across our region to provide residents with access to fresh, free drinking water.
Access to and availability of fresh, free drinking water is important in creating healthy food and drink environments where our communities live, work and play.
The 2019 Active Living Census told us that adults in the Loddon Campaspe region drink an average of 4.9 cups of water per day, with only 20.7% drinking the recommended 8 cups (2 litres) or more. Residents in our region were also more likely to drink sugar-sweetened beverages daily than the average Victorian.
For more information on the availability of free drinking water across our region, visit the Goulburn Valley Water and Coliban Water websites.
Drinking water fountain maps - Campaspe and Mount Alexander Shires
We've worked with Campaspe Shire and Mount Alexander Shire to create drinking water fountain location maps for all their towns.
So it's easy to find how many drinking water fountains are in your town, and where they're located.
