HLC is encouraging Campaspe Shire residents to try geocaching over the April school holidays!
We've hidden three caches within Rochester, full of fun trinkets – with prizes to be won!

The competition opens Saturday 5 April, and closes Sunday 20 April, 2025.
HOW DO I PARTICIPATE?
Pick up a geocaching card
- Head over to the Rochester Library, 43-45 Mackay St, Rochester to collect a geocaching card, or download from the bottom of this page.
- At each HLC geocache, there will be a different coloured sticker available. You can use your card to collect all three of the different stickers.
- If you collect all three of the stickers (and send us a picture), you go into the draw to win a prize!
Find the HLC hidden caches
- Open up the geocaching.com app and search Rochester for caches. You’ll know it’s a HLC cache because the cache's owner will be 'HLCGeocaching’.
- Please note that there are other caches around Rochester, so not every cache will be a HLC cache.
Snap a picture
If you find a HLC cache, take a picture of yourself with the trinket, sticker or logbook (don’t take a picture of the location or the cache itself, as you might spoil the fun for others!)
Put the cache back
Sign the logbook with your name and date and put the cache back where you found it. Remember to take a sticker and a trinket!
Upload your picture
Upload your photo to Facebook or Instagram and tag Healthy Loddon Campaspe so we can see the picture. If you don’t have social media, you can also email it to us at hlc@bendigo.vic.gov.au.
How do I get a prize?
The first 20 people to find a HLC geocache and send us a picture will receive a family pass to the Echuca War Memorial Aquatics Centre.
If you collect all three of the stickers and send us a picture of your completed geocaching card, you will go in the draw to win one of three prizes:
- First Prize: A Fitbit
- Second Prize: A Razor scooter and helmet
- Third Prize: A $100 sports store voucher
More information
- People of all ages can take part in the competition.
- Each photo submitted will account for one (1) entry into the draw to win either first, second or third prize.
- One EWMAC family pass voucher per household.
- EWMAC vouchers will be distributed to the first 20 people who submit a photo throughout the competition period. The draw for the larger prizes will be conducted after the competition ends.
